The Cathedral’s Festival of Lessons and Carols is offered in person and over livestream for all to take part, from home or here in our sacred space.
The Service of Lessons and Carols is a recent but now classical element of Anglican Liturgy, first instituted for Christmas Eve 1880 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Truro. This beloved Christmas service begins with a musical prelude at 3:45 pm and will include musical contributions by the Cathedral Choirs as we celebrate the birth of the light.
All free passes have been distributed for this service. There will be a stand-by line that evening and we expect to be able to get many additional people in for the service.
