New York Philharmonic Free Memorial Day Concert
PLEASE NOTE: The concert will not be broadcast onto the Pulpit Green of the Cathedral grounds due to possible inclement weather. Tickets to the performance inside the Cathedral will be distributed at 5pm and the doors will open at 6pm.
Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducts the 31st Free Memorial Day Concert presented as a gift to the people of New York City and a day of musical remembrance.
Program to include:
Wagner: Prelude to Act I of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg
Copland: Quiet City
Brahms: Symphony No. 4
Jaap van Zweden, Conductor
Ryan Roberts, English Horn
Christopher Martin, Trumpet
Admission to this performance is free. Tickets are required and will be distributed at The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine beginning at 5:00 PM the evening of the concert; doors will open at 6:00 PM. One ticket per person. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the performance.
