The Very Reverend Patrick Malloy, Ph.D.
DeanThe Very Reverend Dr. Patrick Malloy, who joined the Cathedral in the summer of 2016, was formally installed as the 11th Dean of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in December 2023. Prior to joining the Cathedral, he served as the Interim Dean at St. John’s Cathedral in Denver. He has taught at The General Theological Seminary, New York, where he was Professor of Liturgy; St. John’s University, Collegeville; the University of Santa Clara, California; and Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. In 2008-2009, Canon Malloy, then Rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Allentown, PA, designed and was general contractor for the renovation of the church. For this work, he received an architecture design award in 2012 from the American Institute of Architects. Dean Malloy holds a PhD in liturgical studies from the University of Notre Dame.

The Reverend Canon Steven Lee, M.Div.
VicarThe Rev. Canon Steven Lee is the Vicar of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City, where he provides senior executive leadership for one of the largest institutions in the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. In his role, he is responsible for the oversight and financial management of the Liturgy, Pastoral Care, and Columbarium departments, supervises the Canon for Community Engagement, and pastorally supports the worshiping community.
He also serves as the board chair of the New York Episcopal Federal Credit Union, a federally chartered institution that promotes financial literacy and offers vital financial services to marginalized communities within the Diocese of New York. Steven is also the co-founder of EAST: Episcopal Asian Supper Table, a thriving ministry now in its eighth year, which fosters community among Asian-Americans in the Diocese of New York.
Before entering the priesthood, Steven worked in finance as a derivatives trader for a Swiss Bank and later served as the executive director of a faith-based immigration ministry. He holds a degree in Classics from Yale, where he received the Buchanan Winthrop Prize for Greek Translation, and earned his Master of Divinity from the General Theological Seminary. During his theological training, he completed field placements with incarcerated men at Sing-Sing and Fishkill Correctional Facilities.
He is married to Emma, who works at the Museum of Modern Art, and together they are raising their four children—three boys and one girl.

The Reverend Canon Eva Suarez
Canon for Community Engagement & Interim ChaplainThe Reverend Canon Eva Suarez joined the Cathedral clergy team in February of 2023, where she serves as Canon for Community Engagement. In that role, she focuses on the Cathedral’s relationship with the neighborhood, city, and the wider Episcopal Diocese of New York. She also supervises the work of the Cathedral’s Public Education and Visitors Services team, as well as the Cathedral’s outreach arm, Cathedral Community Cares (CCC). Originally from Washington, D.C., Canon Suarez completed her seminary studies at Union Theological Seminary, as well as earning a Masters in Social Work from the Silberman School at CUNY Hunter. Prior to joining the cathedral staff, she served as an Associate Rector at St. James’ Church in Manhattan. Canon Suarez is a contributing author for several anthologies, most recently Forward Movement’s A Journey Through Genesis, and When Kids Ask Hard Questions: Faith-Filled Answers for Tough Topics, from Chalice Press.

Laura Fois Bosley
Executive Director, Cathedral ProgrammingLaura Fois Bosley began her career at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in 2014 as the Coordinator of the Dean’s Office. She became the Head of Staff in 2021 and was named Executive Director of Cathedral Programming in April 2023. In this role Ms. Bosley supervises the teams leading Production, Marketing & Communications and Venue Sales and works alongside the Exhibition & Collections Manager to manage the Cathedral’s art collection and installations.
Ms. Bosley has more than 25 years of experience in non-profit arts management and programming, having begun her career at Children’s Arts & Science Workshops, a youth services agency in Washington Heights, where she served as the Director of Development and of Tutoring Services. A graduate of Fordham University, she has worked extensively in event production and theatre, both as an actor and producer, and has been the Managing Director of UP Theater Company, a non-profit theater company in upper Manhattan, since 2010. Ms. Bosley is committed to expanding the scope of programming at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and to inviting more people in to experience art in this incredible space.

John Tiebout
Executive Director, OperationsJohn Tiebout is the Executive Director, Operations, supporting the Cathedral’s Security, Facilities, IT, ACT, Textile Conservation Laboratory, Human Resources and Organ Maintenance departments.
John has been with the Cathedral since 2014 and has held human resources and operations leadership positions in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, including The New York Times, Common Ground Community, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. His work as a management and leadership consultant covers a range from social service agencies to multinational corporations.
John has a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University in clinical and counseling psychology and is an active volunteer at a Westchester County counseling center.
