The Cathedral was founded as "a center for intellectual light and leadership." The Cathedral is home to an incredibly expansive collection of art, has hosted many impressive exhibitions and installations, and houses numerous spaces dedicated to the preservation of textiles, poetry, and literature.

Crafts at the Cathedral 2024
New York City’s Premier Juried Fine Crafts Festival
After a fantastically successful return post-COVID in 2023, the 26th annual event will return to the Cathedral’s magnificent interior for the 2024 holiday season. The juried show has, in previous years, featured the country's most esteemed crafts artists, including many who have exhibited in the prestigious Philadelphia and Smithsonian Museum Craft Shows.
