The Inferno, the opening section of Dante Alighieri's medieval masterpiece the Divine Comedy, begins on the evening of Maundy Thursday. The Cathedral has hosted a late-night reading of this epic work for years, and in 2020, we collaborated with distinguished poets, eminent translators, visiting scholars, and Inferno reading regulars on a marathon recording.

This year, Poet in Residence Marie Howe invites you to view this marathon reading in its entirety online.
