Dzieci Theatre’s signature presentation, Fools Mass, celebrates its twenty-fifth season this December, culminating in a return engagement at their beloved Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine.

Set during the plague years of the 14th century, Fools Mass introduces us to a band of village idiots who must find their way through the holiday service after the death of their beloved pastor. Celebrating the sacred and profane, the miracle of life and the enigma of death, with sublime choral singing, riotous comic buffoonery, and extraordinary dramatic invention, Fools Mass becomes especially relevant for our own ravaged times, embracing the heart of mercy and the sanctity of the human spirit.
